The leftist clock...

Sometimes leftists are honest, and the illogically flip-flopping talking points are like clockwork:
War is good for capitalism: How?
it creates money as you destroy (arms companies)
The Middle East must be rich from all that arm company capitalism...
and rebuild (Halliburton).
Saddam loved paying oilfield maintenance bills...
If they were so saintly, why have they never invaded Sudan
Right. Everyone agrees they should have, and cryMRU would be enthusiastically approving THAT military action...
or launched a full scale invasion in Somalia?
With American help, Ethiopia blessedly and justly "launched a full scale invasion in Somalia" against a virulent strain of Islamic tyranny. "Saintly" enough for me...
Why are they friends with countries with such terrible human rights records that happen to have the raw minerals?
I now have to assume cryMRU is now advocating that America cut all diplomatic ties with the third world. That's the only conclusion I can draw from this "question"...
Er... How many times have I highlighted the amount of arguments you have NEVER replied to here?
Er... How many times have I posted a reply to these predictable dumb-ass non-North Korean comments???

In order...

Congratulations to Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, February 20, 2007 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il was presented with a floral basket and a congratulatory message by the Joint Nuclear Institute, an international organization, on the occasion of his birthday. The floral basket and congratulatory message were handed to a Korean official concerned working in Russia by the general director of the institute on Feb. 14. Thanks for the proliferation Russia! The general director wished Kim Jong Il good health and greater success in his noble work on his birthday. He sincerely hoped that the Korean people would build a great prosperous powerful nation and achieve the peaceful reunification of the country at an early date under his leadership. Then why did they just wish Kim Jong Il "good health and greater success"? What "early date under his leadership" is going change the tragic course of North Korea???

The useless left...

This post irked the extreme left:
A) They(Americans) care more about economic interests, than this vague concept of "freedom", which you seem to think that America spreads out of altruism.
I doubt Americans value money more than altruistic freedom...
B) Even if they really did care about a "liberated" north Korea, then they would have done so by now.
America seems to be the ONLY country that cares about a liberated North Korea...
North Korea aren't a slave satellite(to China).
North Korea is the definition of a slave satellite...
They are very independent, hopelessly so to the point where they reject aid.
No, they are very evil, hopelessly so to the point where they reject aid to the general population frequently.
China sees north Korea as more of an embarrassment than anything else
Yeah, an embarrassment of their own failed ideology...
you are hopelessly pompous and narrow-minded and don't think about what anybody else wants.
I think about what North Korea's oppressed want...
Who knows what south Korea wants out of this situation better: them, or you who has travelled, as far as I know, to Texas and that's about it?
Great argument "?". I have been to Dallas before...

As a bonus, cryMRU chimes in with this invaluable leftist insight:
Hang on- you don't actually think China is still communist btw?
Just fucking brilliant, eh?

Might as well laugh...

About the international surrender to tyrannic North Korean blackmail:
I guess America is now willing to just ignore North Korea, just like South Korea always does...

No one can possibly care...

Direct from the blatantly communist CBC:
Agreement reached at North Korea nuclear talks, U.S. envoy says
Six countries reached a tentative agreement Tuesday on initial steps toward North Korea's nuclear disarmament, which could usher in the first concrete progress after more than three years of talks.

I guess 1994-2003 is a total blackout...
The U.S. envoy to the talks, Christopher Hill, emerged in the early morning hours of Tuesday looking weary after a marathon 16-hour negotiating session and announced that a tentative deal had been struck at the latest round of six-party talks on the North's nuclear program. The draft agreement contained commitments on disarmament and energy assistance along with "initial actions" to be taken by certain deadlines, Hill said. Working groups will be set up, hopefully in a month, laying out a framework for dealing with regional tensions, the assistant secretary of state added.
Hmmmm. I can't remember a deal agreed with the framework of this magnitude...
He declined to give further details of the draft.

For obvious reasons...
The agreement could herald the first step toward disarmament since the spectacularly unsuccessful talks began in 2003. The process reached its lowest point in October when North Korea conducted its first nuclear test explosion, alarming the world and triggering useless UN sanctions.

Behold the most useless example of "news" reporting in history:
In the last few days, the talks had appeared to be on the verge of foundering, and envoys made clear that their frustration was increasing and their patience growing thin. The current round was to conclude on Monday but as they progressed toward a deal, negotiators extended it late into the night and then into the early hours of Tuesday.

Eh, why waste precious leftist press talking about the complete failure of remarkably similar diplomacy?

Atomic relationship...

Iranian President Greeted
Pyongyang, February 11, 2007 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Sunday sent a message of greetings to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the victory in the Islamic revolution of Iran. How nice...The message expressed the conviction that the relations of friendship and cooperation that have favorably developed between the two countries since the victory of the Islamic revolution would expand in "various fields" (wink)(wink) and wished the president greater success in his responsible work to defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve national prosperity, by selling oil to America while killing Americans.

North Korea's Kim spotted for 1st time in 3 weeks

By Chris Buckley
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has made his first public appearances in about three weeks, official media reported late on Wednesday, further dousing speculation he was in conflict with the military...
The news of Kim's appearance comes as international talks are about to open in Beijing to persuade impoverished North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons programmes in exchange for aid and pledges not to attack it.

It seems to me George W. Bush is willing to play the same failed game of leftist negotiations with this fucking lunatic. Why? Kim Jong Il is certainly as genocidal as Saddam Hussein, with a proven nuclear weapon capabillity. It would be easier to topple Kim Jong Il's dictatorship than it was to topple Saddam, in my opinion...

Kim Jong Il's Flower Palace

Apparently Poktokkumi is renowned for it's flowers. I guess a fruity tyrant like Kim Jong Il needs a whole palace for "his flowers"...
