Pyongyang, June 28, 2006 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy posted on its Internet homepage several articles with photos showing the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il on the occasions of the 42nd anniversary of his start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the sixth anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. Who cares? This "news" is a week old... An article titled "Kim Jong Il, Great Man of Century" (sure is wasn't a comic book?) said it is an immortal exploit that will shine for all ages that he has brought about a leaping advance and a great change in the revolution and construction. Under the title "Ever Mounting International bowel Movement for Supporting Korea's Reunification" the homepage carried articles dealing with voices of solidarity for the Korean people's cause of national reunification ringing out worldwide and the struggle for independence against the U.S. raging in south Korea. Meanwhile, on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, the Association for Friendship with the Korean People based in Spain on June 11 posted on its Internet homepage "Network for One Korea" articles with photos showing the feats performed by Kim Jong Il for national reunification.
Like I was saying, this is a week old replay of the same strange and twisted "pro-internet" propaganda North Korea commonly espouses...
Special Internet Homepage Opens
Pyongyang, June 21, 2006 (KCNA) -- A special Internet homepage "Red Banner of Songun" opened by the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy on June 12 on the occasions of the 42nd anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the 6th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle. The homepage carried pictures of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and photos showing the Songun leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il.It posted articles entitled "Great history of revolutionary activities of Comrade Kim Jong Il", "Glorious 42 years of the Songun Sun", "On achieving the reunification of Korea under the banner of "By our nation itself", "The U.S. imperialists provoked the Korean war" and others. The shitty quality of the "Red Banner of Songun" website makes The Ashes of Tyranny look slick and professional by comparison...

What a nice gesture, from a guy so nice to the children. The gift was conveyed to Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, on Wednesday by Ahmad Abou Musa, chairman of the Syria Baath Children Organization, on a visit to the DPRK.

WASHINGTON, June 29, 2006 (AFP) Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said Thursday that he and US President George W. Bush had agreed to impose unspecified "pressures" on North Korea if it launches a long-range missile.
That's the vaguest threat ever...
"We both agree that it's very important for us to remain united in extending a clear message to the North Korean leader that launching the missile is unacceptable," Bush said during a joint public appearance at the White House.
Too late. They already fueled it, according to White House reports.
"Should they ever launch the missile, that will cause various pressures. We would apply various pressures," Koizumi said through an interpreter. "I believe it is best I do not discuss what specific pressures we were talking about."
That's alot of various and unspecific pressures.
Bush reiterated his concerns that North Korea has not disclosed "what's on top of the missile" and said of North Korea leader Kim Jong-il,
Secrecy from the most godamned secret communist state ever. Who could have guessed?
"He hasn't told anybody where the missile's going."
Sounds like a real top notch priority of fucking concern.
If Bush feels the missile is a threat to America, what the fuck is stopping him from destroying it???

Canada and Japan agreed Wednesday to pressure North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons drive, with the Canadian prime minister saying Pyongyang's moves were posing "a very real threat."

Visiting Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and his Canadian counterpart, Stephen Harper, held their first meeting and pressured North Korea amid international concerns that the Stalinist state may test-fire a long-range missile.
I'm not all that concerned about a missile test...

"I told Prime Minister (Koizumi) that Canada shares his country's concerns about Pyongyang's nuclear and ballistic missile programs," Harper told a press conference after the summit talks.
"It is our view that Pyongyang's stance on this issue, particularly those related to arms control and proliferation of nuclear weapons, poses a very real threat to international peace and stability,"
It's like arguing that Saddam should have been toppled NOT because of the mass graves, but because of the WMDs that Bush "lied" about. I think the North Korean government is a bigger threat to internal stability and prosperity, than it is to international peace...

World Women's Ice Hockey Championships (B Class) to Be Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 27, 2006 (KCNA) -- The world women's ice hockey championships (B class) will be held in the DPRK in March Juche 96 (2007). It was decided at the annual general meeting of the International Ice Hockey Federation for 2006 held some time ago that the DPRK will host the championships in Pyongyang, the capital city. That'll be one bad B Class tournament... In connection with this, Mun Yong Song, secretary-general of the Korean Ice Hockey Association, told KCNA that the association will organize the championships in all sincerity. It will be participated in by the DPRK, Netherlands, Slovenia, Slovakia, Austria and Italy, the other B class hockey nations...
