Capitalism Is A Right

Nkzone has moved, due to commie regulation. The quality has not diminished.

By Andrei Lankov
The slow-motion collapse of the Stalinist economy began in the late 1980s, and in a few years this slide developed into a free fall. By 1996, the old economy of coal mines, mammoth plants, and chimney smokes was dead, rations were not forthcoming, and many North Koreans had to resort to commerce to survive. The markets began to grow.

It is important to understand that an old lady selling vegetables at a stand can go under scrutiny, and even persecution for "resorting" to capitalism. Here is something that really makes you think about all of the manpower Kim Jong Il is famous for wasting.

Once again, the Kims have out-Stalined Stalin: even in the most paranoiac times of recent Russian history one could not imagine a KGB operative being posted to every single countryside market! The administration enforces law and order, makes sure that nothing improper or forbidden takes place, and also collects the market fee that is paid by every vendor.

Reminds me of the 100 million man hours used for a mass "game". The ladies/human-traffic-light in the streets of Pyongyang, directing NO traffic. This is the face of modern evil.

Ya wanna talk about waste? Think of all the money the average North Korean has to waste, due to the fact if he or she wants to buy something, he or she has to pay a "black market" price.
