Palestinian Ambassador Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, February 10, 2006 (KCNA) -- Palestinian Ambassador to the DPRK Mohammad Shahta Jarab Who? hosted a reception at the embassy on Thursday evening on the occasion of the birthday of leader Kim Jong Il. Addressing the reception, the ambassador stressed that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries provided by President Yasser Arafat and President Kim Il Sung are growing stronger under the concern of Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Kim Jong Il. Ummmmm. Huh. Perhaps Mr. Jarab is reliant on on the KCNA for news, and is unaware Hamas won and Yasser croaked. Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, said in a speech that the DPRK would make consistent efforts to boost the friendly relations between the two countries and extend full support and solidarity
and to the Palestinian people in their just cause to retake their legitimate national rights including the foundation of an independent state with Kuds as its capital. Present on invitation were Rim Kyong Man, minister of Foreign Trade, Ryom Sun Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, Mun Jae Chol, acting chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Kim Yong Il, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Tang Su, director of the Bureau of Diplomatic Corps Affairs, and officials concerned.
