Interception

I guess this report can not come as a surprise in any way. Nuclear weapon technology is a marketable export/import product for these two countries.

Teheran offers North Korea oil in exchange for rocket technology
Monsters and Critics Nov 26, 2005, Hamburg - Iran is seeking to strengthen its ties with North Korea by offering Pyongyang a comprehensive economic aid programme as part of co-operation between the two countries on rocket development, the weekly Spiegel reported Saturday.
Teheran wants to work together with North Korea on the development of nuclear-armed rockets, Spiegel reported citing western intelligence sources.
An Iranian envoy has already promised North Korea substantial supplies of free oil and natural gas that could help the country through the winter.

A flackback from 2002...

Perhaps THIS "report", fresh outta the K.C.N.A, will shed some "light" on the subject...

Functions Held in Czech Republic and Iran

Pyongyang, November 25, 2005 (KCNA) -- A film show was held at the Taekwon-do Club of the "Kyebaek Self-Defence Art " in the Czech Republic, a briefing on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and a film show were held by the Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization of Iran on Nov. 13 and 18 on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of office as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army and the 88th birth anniversary of Anti-Japanese War Hero Kim Jong Suk. The participants of the film shows watched Korean films including the "Grand Gymnastic and Artistic Performance 'Arirang', 'Kim Il Sung Prize' Winner", "Old Home in Mt. Paektu Shining with Glory" and "Korea, Land of Morning Calm."
I don't understand what this is about, in any way...
A Taekwon-do film and a movie apparently and ominously titled "Kim Il Sung Prize Winner", was shown to members of Iran's Red Crescent Relief and Rescue??? Why? Am I missing something?
The participants of the above-said functions said that the DPRK has solved its strategic problems including the nuclear issue in its interests, steadfastly standing in confrontation with the U.S., adding that this is entirely thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. Watching Kim Jong Il possessed of inexhaustible energy and brilliant wisdom, we were convinced of the rosy future of the DPRK, they stressed.
I never miss the fuckin' crazy-ass pro Kim Jong Il propaganda...

I feel sorry for those poor fuckers that had to sit through 5 different shitty North Korean movies. It's can't be suprising that Kim Jong Il needs to kidnap South Korean directors. Authentic D.P.R.K flicks need people forced by an oppressive government to sit through them. No wonder the were all "convinced" of the D.P.R.K's "rosy future"; It was either that or watch more...

UPDATE: Iran denies everything. Including having watched a movie called "Kim Il Sung Prize Winner"... KoreaTimes.com

Some 10 to 15 years ago HBO created a pathetically silly movie called "Mom and Dad save the World". It was sort of a lame Monty Python meets Flash Gordon, but what is pertinent is the villian, who was a pathetic, idiotic, self-absorbed buffoon named Todd Spengo. It is time for an annual award to be given to the biggest buffoon to lead a nation, call it "The Todd Spengo Award" and give the first one to Kim Jong Il. The only real competition he would have is that nut in Tehran.
