Unwarranted Measure against Internet in S. Korea Flailed
Pyongyang, June 3, 2006 (KCNA) -- The south Korean joint measure committee for the abolition of the system I'm confused already... which calls for using one's real name as regards elections, grouping eight Internet mediapersons associations and more than 140 civic and public organizations held a press conference in Seoul on May 30 at which it denounced the "government's" unfair measure taken against the Internet media, according to a news report. The chief editor of the Internet Broadcasting Voice of People and other speakers blasted the recent decision made by the "government" to enforce the above-said system against Internet users with the "local elections" as a momentum. They described this as an evil law like the "National Security Law" violating the freedom of expression and human rights of Internet users. North Korea's population ain't exactly classified as "internet users". Nothing can suppress the Internet users' freedom of speech, except the "Democratic" "People's" "Republic" of Korea they declared, branding the "government's" measure to establish the system as a short-sighted one. As opposed to an entire country blind to the internet. A joint statement released at the press conference demanded the "government" provide the people with the freedom of expression and immediately stop pushing forward the system. It's getting hard trying to talk about such obviously rank bullshit. I can't imagine how anyone could listen to dictators that don't allow freedom of anything, criticize a democratic and free government on how it treats it's citizens. I guess if everyone can do the same to America, why should South Korea be any different?
