Fail safe test...

The ballistic missile program of the "Democratic" "People's" "Republic" of Korea steadily advances. Of all the technologies that the country spends it's scarce resources in developing, ICBMs are really the only priority...
"The (North) Korean army and people will do their best to increase the military deterrent with sharp vigilance to cope with the moves of the U.S., which is hell-bent on provocations for war,"
Standard and consistent D.P.R.K policy. How do you negotiate with a government that has only this to say?
"If the enemies ignite a war eventually, the Korean army and people will mercilessly wipe out the aggressors and give vent to the deep-rooted grudge of the nation,"
To the world's detriment, the Bush administration has decided to take the same approach to North Korea that Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter did. Example:
Snow noted that North Korea made a series of commitments in six-nation talks over its nuclear program in September, including that they would "bargain in good faith."
Utter irrational nonsense. Again, how in the hell do you "bargain in good faith" with a dictatorship that has long declared to it's citizens your it's most heinous enemy?
"We expect them to come back to the table," Snow said. "And we hope there's not going to be a launch."

A crock of fucking bullshit. What in the FUCK are more negotiations going to accomplish? North Korea has been delegating peace while simultaneously building weapon systems and oppressing it's population... For decades.
The time for talk ended long ago. It's time to take a stand against this tyranny, as appeasement of despotism has been proven to end in failure only. Nobody is going to take a single goddamned action against deliberate North Korean provocations however, 'cause letting citizens of the country starve in despair is much much more politically expedient...

The warhead of a long-range missile test-fired by North Korea was found in the U.S. state of Alaska, a report to the National Assembly revealed yesterday.

``According to a U.S. document, the last piece of a missile warhead fired by North Korea was found in Alaska,’’ former Japanese foreign minister Taro Nakayama was quoted as saying in the report. ``Washington, as well as Tokyo, has so far underrated Pyongyang’s missile capabilities.’’

The report was the culmination of monthlong activities of the Assembly’s overseas delegation to five countries over the North Korean nuclear crisis. The Assembly dispatched groups of lawmakers to the United States, Japan, China, Russia and European Union last month to collect information and opinions on the international issue.

The team sent to Japan, headed by Rep. Kim Hak-won of the United Liberal Democrats, reported, ``Nakayama said Washington has come to put more emphasis on trilateral cooperation between South Korea, Japan and the United States since it recognized that the three countries are within the range of North Korean missiles.’’

"Washington has come to put more emphasis on trilateral cooperation between South Korea, Japan and the United States since it recognized that the three countries are within the range of North Korean missiles."

I disagree with this policy. North Korea stresses that they require direct talks with the Americans, I say direct military action by the U.S should be the main deterent...

The reports I have read indicate that a new Tapodong was fueled(dangerous to undo), thus making a missile test emminent.

No reports yet of a launched missile...
