Silent Howl

By Jon Herskovitz
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea said on Monday last week's U.N. vote chastising the impoverished communist state for human rights abuses was part of a Western and Japanese plot to topple its leaders.

Much of North Korea's diplomacy involves accusations of secret national plots...

A U.N. General Assembly committee on Thursday approved a resolution expressing concern over reported human rights violations in North Korea, including torture, public executions and maintaining a network of political prisons.

"We regard the recent human rights resolution (as) no more than (the) barking of a dog at the moon," a spokesman for North Korea's Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "The present U.S. administration with inveterate enmity toward the DPRK has put spurs to its moves to realize the absurd attempt at a 'regime change' under the signboard of 'human rights'," the spokesman said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency.

Back to the same old time tested, North Korean foreign policy staple... Blame every issue or problem on the United States of America. A country on the other side of the planet. No matter how absurd.

What can the U.N do, anyway?

We're the boogie man that hides under every bed and in every closet just waiting to catch an unaware North Korean and do mean things to him just for the fun of it.

Yes. Good question, as usual.

"well, it(the U.S) has been on korea's doorstep for over 50 years..."
And? What the fuck is your point?Answer the question brainwave, instead of deflecting it. Why is America supposedly responsible for ALL(not some) of North Korea's problems?

what question? Why does North Korea blame all of it's problem on America. Last time brainwave.

"i'm just noting that america isn't "halfway across the globe" in korea's eyes."

And I am "noting", that America is the sole resposibility for all of North Korean's problems and NONE of South Korea's success... In the eyes of the Korean Centeral "News" Agency.

i'm not arguing against that point. i'm saying that america has been on north korea's doorstep for 50 odd years, and therefore is not "halfway across the globe" in their eyes.

typical right wing deflection.
