KCNA "Report" on Explosion at Ryongchon Railway Station
Pyongyang, April 24, 2004 (KCNA) -- The KCNA on April 24 released the following report as regards an explosion at Ryongchon Railway Station in North Phyongan Province, on April 22: An explosion occurred at Ryongchon Railway Station in North Phyongan Province on April 22 due to the electrical contact caused by carelessness during the shunting of wagons loaded with ammonium nitrate fertilizer and tank wagons. The investigation conducted so far shows that the damage is very serious. It is going on. The DPRK government is doing its utmost to recover from the damage caused by the accident as early as possible and help the living of the people in the afflicted area return to normal. It appreciates the willingness expressed by the governments of various countries and international bodies and organizations to render humanitarian assistance to the DPRK.

S. Korean Red Cross Delegation Leaves
Pyongyang, April 24, 2004 (KCNA) -- The delegation of the south Korean Red Cross led by its President Ri Yun Gu left here today. It was seen off at the airport by Choe Song Ik, permanent member of the Central Committee of the Red Cross Society of the DPRK, and officials concerned.

Gift to Kim Jong Il from Vietnam
Pyongyang, April 27, 2004 (KCNA) Leader Kim Jong Il received a gift from the Directorate for Standards and Quality of Vietnam. The gift was conveyed to an official concerned today by Ngo Quy Viet, director general of the directorate who is leading the delegation of the directorate on a visit to the DPRK.
