Bad Director
By Jack Kim, PYONGYANG: North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has ordered the removal of a military attack scene from a performance of its Arirang mass games to avoid upsetting visitors from South Korea, a North Korean guide said 80-minute performance at the May Day Stadium in Pyongyang this week no longer contains a segment where North Korean special agents overpower enemy combatants, which are considered to be South Korean soldiers.
What a kind gesture!
"You may have noticed that there was no scene in today's performance where our soldiers attack the enemy,'' said Han Sung-chol, a North Korean guide chaperoning a group of South Koreans visiting Pyongyang earlier this week.''General Kim Jong Il has ordered that scene removed,'' Han said. ''The general noted that we have South Korean guests here and they are going to ask, 'Are they beating on the South Korean army?'"
So they replaced it with a scene of the powerlines Pyongyang will be using to suck the shit out of South Korea's electric grid, for free?THAT should be less offensive...
I guess this scene(from 2000) is supposed to offset the balance of the missing image of North Korea's nuclear power. Or the absence of electrical grids throughout the country...
